LevelOps alternatives are other Shopify apps that also turn an emailed or uploaded purchase order, such as a PDF, an Excel file, or a similar document, into a draft order. Judge them on formats, whether they match the B2B company and location, how they apply prices, whether you review before the draft exists, what the App Store actually shows, and what you pay. POinbox is the RippleStep option in that category on this page LevelOps has the Built for Shopify badge. Check their listing before you decide. Their price and badge can change.
What “good” means in this category
- Formats you receive: PDF, email, Excel, CSV, Word. Extra formats only count if you use them.
- How the file gets in: upload, or a dedicated forwarding address.
- Match to Shopify customers, B2B companies, and company locations.
- Catalog pricing, and whether a PO price that disagrees is flagged.
- Uncertain lines held for a person.
- Proof: reviews, Built for Shopify, and a price you can see.
- Support you can actually reach.
Cheaper is not automatically worse. It is also not automatically enough. Run your own PO samples.
LevelOps at a glance
As of 26 Sep 2026 research, re-verify before you buy:
- Same job: customer PO files to Shopify draft orders.
- Formats on the App Store bullets: email, PDF, Word, Excel, CSV, TXT, HTML.
- A dedicated forwarding inbox, including auto-forward.
- B2B companies and locations, and Plus B2B price lists named in their materials.
- Built for Shopify.
- 5.0 from 20 reviews.
- Pricing described as a small free allowance (about five orders) and then roughly $100–$250 a month, plus usage. Their site and the App Store have not always matched. Use the live listing.
- Listing: LevelOps on the Shopify App Store.
Their docs also describe remembering a corrected mapping, and a review step with confidence. Marketing pages have mentioned scans. Those are their claims. Confirm them if they are why you would stay.
Alternatives, as snapshots
POinbox (RippleStep)
POinbox starts free (5 successful drafts). Paid plans from $29/mo. It reads email, PDF, Excel, CSV, Word, TXT, HTML, plus photos and scans. Settings shows a forwarding address. It matches customers, B2B companies, and company locations, saves a confirmed line or buyer for next time, uses catalog pricing, and flags a price difference or an uncertain line before the draft exists. It does not have a Built for Shopify badge. The product page is the install. The line-by-line compare is POinbox vs LevelOps.
Other new apps in the same job
Names that showed up in the same category, including POMate, POClerk, FolioPO, and POdraft, also aim at PDF or email to a draft. This page does not publish prices that have not been re-checked. Open each listing. A Free-plan install is not proof the match is right.

Who should stay on LevelOps
Stay if you want the Built for Shopify badge and their public review base. Stay if you need Plus B2B price lists called out by name, or an integrations list. Their materials have mentioned Dynamics, Katana, Odoo, QuickBooks, and others. Confirm the names on their listing. A Free-plan install does not erase those reasons.
Who should try POinbox
Try POinbox if you want to start on Free and you care that it flags a PO price that disagrees with the catalog. Test it on your own files. This page will not call it the best LevelOps alternative.
Run the same three POs through any finalist
Pick three files from last month. One should be easy: your SKUs, one location, prices that match. One should be a buyer-code file with a ship-to that is not the billing address. One should have a unit price that is wrong on purpose, or was wrong when you entered it. If you only test the easy file, every app looks finished.
For each app, write down what you had to touch. Did it propose the company and the location, or only a customer? Which lines were flagged instead of guessed? Did the draft price stay on your catalog while the PO price was visible? Did a dedicated address matter, or did you upload the file you already had? How long until a draft you would convert? That sheet is the comparison. Review counts tell you who else survived. They do not match your SKUs.
What each criterion looks like in practice
Formats. If the buyer sends Word or a messy Excel, the app has to read it. POinbox reads email, PDF, Excel, CSV, Word, TXT, and HTML. A photo or a handwritten scan is read the same way. LevelOps’ App Store bullets in the 26 Sep 2026 research also named TXT and HTML. Confirm their listing.
Intake. Upload the one file sales handed you, or forward the mail to the address in Settings. A thread with several PDFs, spreadsheets, or Word files opens one PO per attachment. LevelOps advertises a forwarding address too.
B2B match. You want the company and the location, not only the person who clicked send. Both products say they do this. Test the Reno-versus-returns case. A confident wrong location is worse than a flag.
Price. Catalog should win. A difference should be visible. POinbox flags that difference and prices from the catalog. LevelOps stresses pricing from Shopify and names Plus B2B price lists. POinbox does not select Plus lists by name. If your contracts live only as those Plus lists, test LevelOps against them.
Memory. Confirm a line in POinbox and that buyer’s code is saved for that customer or company. Confirm the buyer and the sender is saved for the next email. LevelOps’ docs describe the same kind of correction.
Proof and price. LevelOps has the Built for Shopify badge, about 5.0 from 20 reviews, a free allowance of roughly five orders, then paid plans in the rough $100–$250 a month range plus usage. Their site and App Store have not always matched. Re-read their listing. POinbox has Free and paid plans, and it does not have that badge. Other names in the same category, including POMate, POClerk, FolioPO, and POdraft, need their own listings opened. This page does not print prices that have not been re-checked.
Three honest outcomes
Stay on LevelOps if the badge or the named Plus lists are requirements. Try POinbox if you will judge a Free-plan install on your three purchase orders. Walk away from both if the real problem is EDI or a portal the buyers will use. This comparison is not a ranked list. The head-to-head is POinbox vs LevelOps. The category, if you are still unsure you want a customer-PO app at all, is what a Shopify purchase order app usually means.
What this page will not rank
This page will not call POinbox the best LevelOps alternative. The criteria and the three-PO test are the article. If your purchasing policy requires a Built for Shopify badge, LevelOps has one and POinbox does not. Stay there if that badge is a requirement.
Check the live listings on the day you decide. This text is dated from research on 26 Sep 2026 and expanded on 29 Sep 2026. If LevelOps’ plan no longer matches “about five free, then roughly $100–$250,” trust their listing.
Support is part of the test and easy to skip. Send one real question during the trial: a line that matched the wrong variant. See who answers and whether the answer matches what the draft did. A 5.0 rating does not answer that email for you. Neither does a Free-plan install.
If you want a fourth file in the test, use the one your team complains about. The easy three can flatter any app. The complaint file is the one with the odd part number, the dock that is not the bill-to, and the price from a quote nobody saved. That file is the decision. Install POinbox and run that file. Stay with LevelOps if you already trust their badge. Both choices are allowed. Calling either one the winner without the file is not.
