Products and catalog
SquareFloww syncs four product fields: title, description, price, and image. You link by SKU or by title, then the source of truth decides which edit wins. If your launch depends on a field outside those four, SquareFloww is the wrong tool. See Sync Shopify and Square products.
QuickSync’s Square integration page describes creating and updating listings, including photos and options, and sending prices with optional rules. Their syncing reference table shows a wide Square column (name, variants, SKU, images, and more). Treat that table as their claim, and verify the rows you care about in a trial.
Practical difference. SquareFloww is a known, narrow catalog contract for Shopify and Square. QuickSync presents a broader listing sync aimed at many channels. If you need variant and option depth they document, and SquareFloww’s four fields are too small, QuickSync may fit the catalog better. If you need a clear overwrite rule and those four fields are the job, SquareFloww is the simpler contract.
Inventory and locations
SquareFloww’s inventory model is a location pair: one Shopify location mapped to one Square location. Starter includes one pair and manual sync. Growth includes three pairs and automatic sync. Pro includes unlimited pairs and automatic sync. Unmapped locations do not stay aligned. QuickSync’s public reference table lists multi-location support for Square as yes, and their marketing talks about stock in both directions. Their pricing is framed around shops and item counts, and their site says another connected shop can add another plan charge. “Shop” and “location” are not always the same word. Ask them how a second Square location is billed before you assume the $19 plan covers three stores.
Practical difference. If you want published pair caps inside one Shopify subscription, SquareFloww states them. If you want stock sync across many platforms, not only Square, QuickSync’s multi-channel design is the thing to evaluate.
Customers
SquareFloww can sync customers in either direction. You run it yourself on Starter. Automatic customer updates are on Growth and Pro. Caps are 500 (Starter), 2,000 (Growth), and 10,000 (Pro). It is not order history. Detail: Sync customers between Shopify and Square.
QuickSync’s connect instructions say the Square approval includes customers, along with products, inventory, and orders. That is permission, not a promise about which customer fields update later. Ask them what an edited email does on day thirty.
Automation and day-to-day operations
On SquareFloww, Starter waits for you to run sync. Growth and Pro can copy product and stock updates automatically from the store you edit to the other one. The first week should be a spot-check: five SKUs, one location, a price, an image, a count.
QuickSync describes fast stock updates and, on higher plans, orders moving with the catalog. Their FAQ covers fulfillment choices, such as pushing orders into Square. That is a different operating model: they are in the order path, not only the item path. If your staff process matters more than the logo, trial both against the same five SKUs and one real location. Do not switch on a feature list alone.
Pricing and predictability
SquareFloww is a flat Shopify charge:

QuickSync’s listing starts at $19 a month with a 14-day trial. Their site describes Lite around inventory and 1,000 items, and a higher tier (often called Pro on their pages, around $29) where listings and orders join, with a larger item cap. Higher App Store tiers exist above that. They also describe an extra charge when you add another shop. Those figures are from their public pages as of September 25, 2026, and they can change. Open their pricing page before you set a budget.
Neither price is “better” in the abstract. A $19 plan that lacks orders is cheaper than a plan you do not need. A $19 plan that bills again per extra shop can cost more than SquareFloww Growth once you add locations. Write your location count down before you compare.
Setup
Both apps ask you to connect Shopify and Square and to take the first sync seriously. SquareFloww’s sequence is install, authorize Square, map pairs, set source of truth, link SKU or title, then sync. Switching is not a one-click import. Who SquareFloww is best for
- You run Shopify online and Square POS, and you plan to keep both.
- You need title, description, price, and image in sync, plus on-hand counts per location pair.
- You want customers included, both ways, without buying an order-sync project.
- You want the price and the caps on one Shopify bill: $19, $39, or $79.
- You do not want the app in your payment flow or your Square Reader setup.
Who QuickSync is best for
- You already run QuickSync and the stock, listing, and order behavior matches how you sell.
- Copying orders into the other platform is the main job. SquareFloww does not promise order sync.
- Shopify and Square are two of several channels, and you want one multi-channel tool.
- You need listing fields SquareFloww does not sync, such as options, barcodes, or price rules, and you have confirmed QuickSync covers them.
- Their current plan covers your item count and shop count, including any extra per-shop charge, and you want the longer trial.

Switching from QuickSync to SquareFloww
Do this in a quiet window. QuickSync does not export a setup you can import.
- List the QuickSync workflows that write products, stock, or customers. You will turn those off after SquareFloww looks right, not before.
- Install SquareFloww and start the 7-day trial: App Store listing.
- Connect the same Square account.
- Map each selling location. Do not invent pairs for closed pop-ups.
- Set the source of truth to the system your staff already trust.
- Link by SKU where codes match. Fix title-only duplicates first.
- Compare a handful of live SKUs in Shopify, Square, and what QuickSync last showed.
- When those match, disable the overlapping QuickSync sync so two apps do not overwrite each other.
- Keep QuickSync only if a remaining channel still needs it.
